Dugon Venom Systems Lab

The Venom Systems Lab was established in 2015 by Dr Michel Dugon at the University of Galway, Galway (NUIG). Dr Dugon has studied the evolution and the development of venom systems, predation strategies and prey detection in a variety of organisms.

The lab is dedicated to the scientific research of venomous organisms and their venom, including jellyfish, spiders, scorpions, & snakes to better understand aspects of their evolution, ecology, potential medical importance, and therapeutics.
